How Rad8 Started
This is my pride and joy a Stumpjumper elite ready to tackle the Walna Scar Track in the Lakes. As a keen mountain biker I have been enjoying the freedom of the Oxfordshire bridleways for years. The bridleways are a great, peaceful retreat from the stresses of the real world and change with the time of year and the weather.
Good eye protection has always been an issue when the trails get boggy but after I got a huge gash across my nose from a trailing bramble as I went through a tree lined trail I started to take it more seriously. I have worn eye protection ever since!
Unhappy with the current options, either because they didn't fit very well or did not seem to work for the trails I was riding. I have been trying to find some glasses that were comfortable, don't fog up, adapt to the light changes of a trail and offer protection from the trail hazards. I could not find any I felt were right; light, comfortable and adaptive so I sourced my own. It was not simple but I now have a product that does what it is supposed to and are now tried and trusted by a the MTB test team. Rad8 MTBglasses - I hope you like them.
